AUTHORITY TO ENTER INTO BINDING OPTION AGREEMENT
WHEREAS the City is interested in exploring the possibility of moving its offices from the City-
County Building to a City Hall in downtown Jeffersonville; and
WHEREAS the Mayor and several members of this Common Council have inspected the
building commonly known as the Masonic Lodge Building ("the Building") in downtown
Jeffersonville; and
WHEREAS the City wished to enter into a binding option to purchase the Building;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that Mayor Thomas R. Galligan is hereby
authorized to enter into a binding option agreement to purchase the Building for the sum of One
Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00) with such other terms as the Mayor deems
acceptable and prudent, and is further authorized to bind said option with a deposit of up to One
Thousand Dollars ($I,000.00).
