April 22, 2002
The Sanitary Sewer Board of the City of Jeffersonville met in regular session in the Mayor's Conference
Room in the City County Building, Jeffersonville, Indiana on the 22na day of April 2002.
Mayor Tom Galligan called the meeting to order at 4:10 p.m.. Also present were Board member Jeffrey
Caldwell and Jack Jordan, Dustin White, Bob Miller and Jeff Graham.
The agenda was presented to the Board for approval. Jack asked to add Jeff Graham to the agenda. Jack
Jordan moved to approve the agenda as amended, seconded, by Jeffrey Caldwell, passing unanimously.
The minutes of April 8, 2002 were presented for approval. Jack Jordan moved to approve the minutes as
presented, Jeffrey Caldwell seconded, passing unanimously.
Jeff Graham readdressed the board regarding the presentation on the FELL - 41 previously presented at
the plant, however Bob Miller was not present at that time. Jeff Graham proposed meeting with the
officials and test a site for a week. The cost for the test would be $9,800. The board advised Mr.
Graham they would meet with JTL and discuss a location that would be best for the test.
Tim Crawford was not present, Mayor Galligan addressed the board regarding the manhole surcharging
after inspection. The mayor advised the board he has discussed the problem with EMC and all
problems should be resolved.
The Claims were presented to the Board for approval. Jeffrey Caldwell moved to approve the claims as
presented, seconded by Jack Jordan, passing unanimously.
The Mayor advised the board of the consideration to buy the Lease at the Powder Plant. The plant has a
300,000 gallon of availability excess capacity and at the present time earns approximately $40,000 a
year. The Mayor advised the board that the asking price is $500,000. The Mayor also explained that the
land is really what we need the Waste Water Treatment Plant equipment was not in good running order.
The Mayor advised the board to take a tour and he would schedule one.
