RE: Public Records Request
Dear Mrs. Wilder:
During the past year, and since approximately March 2001, I have had frequent
occasion to read about documents and claim payment information, believed to be in the
possession of your office, that involved me and relate to my work in the construction of
the Jeffersonville Animal Shelter Facility. Please consider this letter an Open Records
Request, under Indiana law.
I am hereby requesting that your office provide me copies of each and every one
of the follo,ving documents, which I believe you have referenced in the newspaper from
time to time during the period described above:
Copies of ail claims evidencing payment to me
(front and reverse sides) which are in the
possession of the City of Jeffersonville after
December 1995.
Copies of all cancelled checks (front and reverse
sides), or city warrants, evidencing payment to me
based upon the claims described in Request
number 1;
Copies of each claim docket, or claim approval
document, signed by members of the Board of
Public Works for each of the claims and city
warrants described in numbers 1 and 2 above.
Please include all signature pages;

Copies of the minutes of all Board of Public Works
and safety meetings from the beginning of January
1996 to present where any of the items described in
1 and 2 above were presented and approved by the
Board of Public Works;
Copies of any and all other documents that are in
the possession of the City of Jeffersonville that
relate to the payment procedures outlined in 1,2,3
and 4 above;
Copies of any and all other documents that you
presented to local Prosecutor, Steven Stewart,
when meeting with him for purposes of discussing
the items contained in 1,2,3 and 4 above.
Copies of all audits of the city of Jeffersonville
which include matters pertaining to the
Jeffersonville Animal Shelter for years beginning
in 1996 to present.
It is my impression from newspaper articles that these documents are readily
available to you and may be, in all likelihood, at hand in a convenient fashion. Therefore,
I request that these documents be copied and made available for me to pick up within
approximately ten (10) days from the date of this letter. Naturally, consistent with the
Indiana Open Door Law, I will pay a reasonable fee for actual expenses of your office in
copying these documents for me.
Please have one of your staff contact my office when the information requested
herein is ready for pickup.
