HomeMy WebLinkAbout1997-R-36 RESOLUTION NO. 97-R-.~_~ A RESOLUTION FINDING FAILURE TO SUBSTANTIALLY COMPLY WITH STATEMENT OF BENEFITS WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville ("the Council"), through the Jeffersonville Department of Redevelopment ("Redevelopment"), has requested that all property owners to whom the Council gave tax abatement after July 1, 1991 ("Property Owners") provide the information required by I.C. 6-1.1- 12.1-5.6(b); and WHEREAS, the Council has reviewed the information received at a Workshop meeting; and WHEREAS, the Council has determined that all Property Owners except two (2) have substantially complied with their statements of benefits; and WHEREAS, the Council has determined that the following two Property Owners have not substantially complied with their statements of benefits: 1. B. Group, Inc. 2. Environmental Equipment Service Corp.; and WHEREAS, the noncompliant Property Owners' failure to substantially comply was not caused by factors beyond their control; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Council shall hold a public hearing on September 1 1997 at seven (7) o'clock p.m. in the Third Floor Conference Room of the City-County Building in Jeffersonville, Indiana for the purpose of further considering the above Property Owners' compliance with their statements of benefits; and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED that the Department of Redevelopment shall mail a written notice Containing the information required by I.C. 6-1.1-12.1-5.9(b) to the noncompliant ProPerty Owners named above.
