A RESOLUTION COMMENDING
THE RAMADA INN FOR THEIR GENEROSITY DURING
THE 1997 FLOOD
WHEREAS, the 1997 Flood was a disaster for the City of Jeffersonville; and
WHEREAS, many people were homeless and had no place to live; and
WHEREAS, the Ramada Inn was very generous in offering rooms to our flood
victims at a discounted price; and
WHEREAS, the City of Jeffersonville wishes to recognize and honor the Ramada
Inn for their generosity during the 1997 Flood.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Common Council of the
City of Jeffersonville, Indiana, that the City of Jeffersonville does hereby declare the
Ramada Inn to be a Commodore of the Port; and further declares that their outstanding
assistance and service to the 1997 Flood victims shall be an honorary City observance.
Passed and adopted by the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville, Clark
County, Indiana, this
