A RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE DEPARTMENT OF
REDEVELOPMENT TO RETAIN PROFESSIONAL ASSISTANCE
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana ("the
Council") wishes to investigate the possibility of initiating an annexation; and
WHEREAS, an annexation requires the preparation of a fiscal plan; and
WHEREAS, Gary Cooper of Cecil Jones & Associates has assisted the
Department of Redevelopment in the preparation of fiscal plans for several previous
annexations;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Department of
Redevelopment is authorized to retain Cecil Jones & Associates or other professionals
to 'assist in the preparation of a fiscal plan for a potential annexation.
This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval.
