SUBMITTAL AND LEVERAGE FUNDS
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA,
AUTHORING THE SUBIVIITTAL OF THE
HOUSING DEVELOPMENT FUND APPLICATION
TO THE INDIANA HOUSING FINANCE AUTHORITY
AND ADDRESSING RELATED MATTERS
WHEREAS, the City Council of ~ recogn/zes the need to stimulate growth and to maintain
affordable housing w/thin it~ corporate limits; and
WHltI~AS. thc Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as mended, authorizes the Indiana tiousing
Finance Authority to provide grants to local units of government to meet the affordable housing and community
deve[opmant needs of low and moderate ittcomo persons; and
WHERI/AS, leffers nvill ' has conducted or will conduct public hearings prior to the submission of au
application to the Indiana Housing Fin~tnce Authority: said public hearings to assess the housing, public facilities, and
economic needs of low and moderate income rasidanrs;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Jeff'ersonv/lle, Indiana, that:
The Mayor is authorized to prepare and submit an application for grant funding to address conditions relating to
Owner-occupied Housing Rehabilitation needs in Jcffer~onville. Indiana. and to cxecum and administer a resultant
grm~t including requisite ganaml administration and project management, contracts and agreements pursuant to
regulations of the Indiana Homing Finance Authority and the United States Department of Housing and Urban
Development.
That the City Council of~ hereby commits the requisite local funds in the amount of Twanty
-five thousand and no/100 Dollars ($ 25,000,00) comprised ofrevcnues ~om the OJmulative Capital and/or General
Fund as leverage funds for said program~ such commliment to be contingent upon receipt of HDF landing fi'om the
Indiana Housing Finance Authority.
