AN ORDINANCE GRANTING PETITION TO VACATE
A PORTION OF A CERTAIN STREET
WHEREAS, the Jeffersonville Redevelopment Commission (hereinafter "the Commission") has petitioned the
Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville (hereinafter "the Council") to vacate a part of Fourth Street north of Lot 5,
Block 21 and south of the west side of Rader Park in the Riverfront Development Project Area in the City of
Jeffersonville, Indiana.
WHEREAS, after publishing notice in accordance with the provisions of I.C. 5-3-1, the Council held a public
hearing on the 15th day of December, 1998 to hear comments and concerns regarding the vacation of said street, during
which hearing comments and concerns were recorded; and
WHEREAS, the Council having examined and heard evidence on said petition and being duly advised, now
finds that said petition should be granted;
NOW~ THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED that the above-described street is hereby vacated and the
fee simple title to said street shall vest in the Jeffersonville Department of Redevelopment.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.

TO THE JEFFERSONVILLE COMMON COUNCIL:
The Jeffersonville Redevelopment Commission (hereinafter "the Petitioner"), hereby Petitions the Common
Council of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana, (hereinafter "the Council") to vacate a portion of a certain street in the
Riverfront Development Project Area in the City of Jeffersonville, County of Clark, State of Indiana. The area requested
to be vacated is part of Fourth Street north of Lot 5, Block 21 and south of the west side of Rader Park.
There is no property owner other than the Petitioner whose property abuts the area proposed to be vacated.
WltEREFORE, the Petitioner requests that public notice be given pursuant to the provisions of I.C. 5-3-1 and a
public hearing be held and thereafter, that the Council grant this petition to vacate.

Notice is hereby given that Jeffersonville Redevelopment Commission has filed a petition with
the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville requesting vacation of a portion of Fourth Street north
of Lot 5, Block 21 and south of the west side of Rader Park within the City of Jeffersonville, County of
Clark and State of Indiana.
A public heating will be held on December 15, 1998 at 7:00 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Meeting
Room on the Third Floor of the City-County Building, 501 East Court Avenue, Jeffersonville, Indiana.
