Office 2003 Upgrade
CourtWorks was written using a I:~'oduct called Microsoft Access, part of the Microsoft
Office Suite. It includes Word, Excel sPreadsheet and i:~ther office produ~i~ity tOOls.
Office 97 was used to develop CounqNorks, which was state of'the art technology at the
time. Mica'oseft no longer supports this version, and wa may eventually be placed in a
situation where issues cannot be resolved due to the age .of this product. Since then,
Office 2000 and 2003 have bea3 released..We strongly recommend moving to Office
2003 so that uninterrupted support on all issues can be resolved in a timely manner.
Also note that compatibility issues' may arise between Office 97 and new computers that
you may purchase. This will again be addressed with Office 2003. You should always
contact Data Design prior to purchasing new.equipment so. that compatibility issues can
be addressed in advance of installation.
Microsoft licensing is required, which can be purchased locally or provided by Data
Design. Please note that pricing does not include purchase of Microsoft Office 2003
licenses.
Services include conversion of your database and installation of the software. Any
software customization purchased from Data Design will be reta)ned in the new version.
