TO 2005 I.E.E.E. STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS
SCOPE OF PROJECT & DESCRIPTION OF TASK: Data Network Technology will network a
total of 291 Cat 6 lines as shown on the blue prints. (The data and voice will be networked with Cat 6 plenum
cable). All voice and data cabling will be terminated to patch panels in the MDF or IDF. We will install (2) 7'
freestanding data rack with wirmanagment within the MDF and (1) in the IDF. From the Phone board within the
MDF and IDF we will install a total of 175 pair Cat 3 cable for cross connect to the voice workstations. We will
terminate the 175 pair cables to 66 blocks on the phone board at the d-mark and at the rack we will terminate the
voice trunk cables to patch panels (1) pair per jack for a total of(5) 48-port patch panels total. All of the
connections will be labeled with a cable number at each end of the cable, at the front of the patch panel and the
faceplate that will identify which port in the patch panel and what distribution location the jack goes to. At the
distribution locations we will ground and secure the racks. Each data drop will be tested using the WireScope
350 and a copy of the test results will be supplied to the customer. Data Network Technology will test, label,
and verify the integrity of all the data lines using the WireScope 350. All cable installation is warranted for 10
years for workmanship and materials.
