OF THE MAYOR OF THE
CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
An Order to Rename New Albany-Charlestown Pike to .V. eterans Parkway
WHEREAS, some of the property owners of New Albany-Charlestown Pike have
petitioned the City of Jeffersonville to rename New Albany-Charlestown Pike to
Veterans Parkway;
WHEREAS, in the Petition, the property owners outlined confusion regarding the
actual street name;
WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. 36-7-4-405 (g) an executive acting under subsection
(e) or (f) shall name or rename streets; (1) so that their names are easy to understand; and
(2) to avOid duplication or conflict with other names;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA, THAT:

That from the current intersection of Veterans Parkway and New Albany-
Charlestown Pike to the current intersection of New Albany-Charlestown
Pike and Holmans Lane is hereby renamed Veterans Parkway.

This Order shall become effective February 1, 2006.

It is further Ordered that a Certified Copy of this Order shall be issued to
the following: (1) the Circuit Court Clerk or Board of'Registration; (2).the
administrator of the enhanced emergency telephone system established
under IC 36-8-16; if any; (3) The United States Postal Service; and (4) any
person or body that the Executive c ' ' receive notice.
