MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY
OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
DECEMBER 20, 2006
Councilperson McCauley called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and on call of the roll those members
present were: Street Commissioner Ellis sitting in for Councilperson McCauley and Fire Chief Miles
sitting in for Engineer Miller.
Also present were: Fire Chief Miles, Animal Shelter Director Wilder, Building Commissioner Segraves,
Planning and Zoning Director Hicks, Councilperson Perkins, City Attorney Merkley, Street
Commissioner Ellis, Redevelopment Director Cahill, IT Director Hardy, Assistant Police Chief Lovan,
and Deputy Clerk Mayfield.

Street Commissioner Ellis made the motion to approve the payroll, seconded by Fire Chief
Miles and carried unanimously.
Street Commissioner Ellis made the motion to approve the minutes of 11-29-06 and 12-06-06
seconded by Fire Chief Miles and carried unanimously.
BID OPENING-
One bid was opened from Best Equipment in the amount of$103,303.81 for a 20 ft.
Knuckleboom Loader. A Bid Bond was included. Street Commissioner made a motion to
take the bid under advisement until next week, seconded by Fire Chief Miles and carried
unanimously.
CONTRACT WITH INDOT REGARDING WHEELS AND HEELS TRAIL-
Street Commissioner Ellis made the motion to approve the preliminary engineering contract
with INDOT for the Wheels and Heels Trail in the amount of $50,000.00, seconded by Fire
Chief Miles and carried unanimously.
There being no further discussion to come before the Board, Street Commissioner Ellis made
the motion to adjourn the meeting at 10:00 a.m., seconded by Fire Chief Miles and carried
unanimously.
