MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY
OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
SEPTEMBER 6, 2006
Mayor Waiz called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and on call ofthe roll those members present were:
Councilperson McCauley and City Engineer Miller.
Also present were: Street Commissioner Ellis, Asst. Police Chief Lovan, Planning and Zoning Director
Hicks, Building Commissioner Segraves, Inspector Wallace, Wastewater Treatment Director Crawford,
Vehicle Maintenance Director Drury, Parks Director Poff, Councilperson Wilson, IT Director Hardy,
Personnel Director Calabro, Redevelopment Director Cahill, Fire Chief Miles, City Attorney Merkley
and Deputy Clerk Mayfield.
Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the payroll, seconded by Councilperson
McCauley and carried unanimously.

ADV ANT AGE ALARM SYSTEMS
Larry Johnson, the Sales Manager for Advantage Alarm Systems, Inc. asked the Board's approval to go
door to door to sell alarm systems. He said they would not be soliciting after dark and would be wearing
shirts with name identification. He said the company has been in business since 1995. Councilperson
McCauley made the motion to approve the door-to-door sales up to one year, seconded by Engineer
Miller and carried unanimously.
EASEMENT AGREEMENT WITH DUKE ENERGY
Engineer Miller made the motion to approve a drainage easement with CINergy/Duke for a piece of
ground at MKM and Jefferson Towne Centre, seconded by Councilperson McCauley and carried
unanimously.
LIBRARY PARKING
Engineer Miller made the motion to stripe at the library for parking, seconded by Councilperson
f' McCauley and carried unanimously.

There being no further discussion to corne before the Board the motion was made by Councilperson
McCauley to . 'oum . :55 a.m., seconded by City Engineer Miller and carried unanimously.
