BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville, County
of Clark, State of Indiana, that said Common Council will meet in the Multi-Purpose
Meeting Room, Room 308, City-County Building, Jeffersonville, Indiana, on the 16th day
of March, 1998 at 7:00 o'clock p.m., for the purpose of considering and determining
whether an emergency exists for the passage of an Ordinance making the following
appropriation in addition to the Annual Budget adopted for the fiscal year 1998.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA~
AUTHORING THE SUBMITTAL OF THE
HOUSING DEVELOPMENT FUND APPLICATION
TO THE INDIANA HOUSING FINANCE AUTHORITY
AND ADDRESSING RELATED MATTERS
WHEREAS, the City Council of J¢ffer~onville. Indiana. recognizes the need to stimulate growth and to maintain
affordable housing within its corporate limits; and
WHEREAS, the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, authorizes the Indiana Housing
Finance Authority to provide grants to local units of government to meet the affordable housing and community
development needs of low and moderate income persons; and
WHEREAS, Jeffersonville. Indiana. has conducted or will conduct public hearings prior to the submission of an
application to the Indiana Housing Finance Authority, said public hearings to assess the housing, public facilities, and
economic needs of low and moderate income residents;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Jeffarsonville. Indiana, that:
I. The Mayor is authorized to prepare and submit an application for grant funding to address conditions relating to
. Owner-occupied Housing Rehabilitation needs in Jeffersonville. Indiana, and to execute and administer a resultant
grant including requisite general administration and project management, contracts and agreements pursuant to
regulations of the Indiana Housing Finance Authority and the United States Department of Housing and Urban
Development.
That the City Council of Jeffersonville. Indiana, hereby commits the requisite local funds in the amount of Twenty
-five thousand and no/100 Dollars ($ 25,000.00) comprised of revenues from the Cumulative Capital and/or General
Fund as leverage funds for said program, such commitment to be contingent upon receipt of HDF funding from the
Indiana Housing Finance Authority.
Adopted by the City Council of Jeffersonville. Indigna, this 27th day of January, 1997 at 7:00 p.m.
