OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
MAY 10, 2006
Mayor Waiz called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and on call of the roll those members present were:
Councilperson McCauley and City Engineer Miller.
Also present were: Street Commissioner Ellis, Asst. Police Chief Lovan, Planning and Zoning Director
Hicks, Building Commissioner Segraves, Vehicle Maintenance Director Drury, Wastewater Treatment
Director Crawford, Personnel Director Calabro, IT Director Hardy, Councilperson Sellers, Fire Chief
Miles, City Attorney Merkley and Deputy Clerk Mayfield.
Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the payroll, seconded by Councilperson
McCauley and carded unanimously.

McCauley and carded unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS-
PHONE SERVICE-CITY HALL
Building Commissioner Segraves and IT Director Hardy recommended using the same
company for phone service. (For PRI and Centrex) Conncilperson McCauley made the
motion to approve SBC to provide a five-year Centrex service contract at a $1,760.00
monthly rate with an amendment specifying 50 Centrex lines for, seconded by Engineer
Miller and carried unanimously.
PRI SERVICE-CITY HALL
Councilperson McCauley made the motion to approve a 36-month contract with SBC for PRI
service at a rate of $980.00 per month, seconded by Engineer Miller and carried unanimously.
PHONE EQUIPMENT-CITY HALL
After some discussion, Councilperson McCauley made the motion to approve S.D. Cole
Communication Inc. to provide the phone equipment for City Hall in the amount of
$40,749.00 to be paid after equipment is installed, seconded by Engineer Miller and carded
unanimously.
NEW BUSiNESS-
SERENITY HOUSE-
Sharon Allgood came before the Board to get permission to hold a 5K Run/Walk on
Saturday, October 7, 2006 at 8:00 am. Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the 5K
Run/Walk on Saturday, October 7, 2006, seconded by Councilperson McCauley and carried
unanimously.
REQUEST FROM COUPE CONSTRUCTION-
John Little of Coupe Construction asked the Board to permit Coupe Construction to dose one
parking space on Spring Street by Carnegie Library for approximately two weeks starting
May 11, 2006 in order to bring a dump truck in and out. Engineer Miller made the motion to
approve pending police approval, seconded by Councilperson McCauley and carded
unanimously.
REVIVAL IN GREENWOOD-
Pastor Darrell Martin with Lincoln Park Baptist Church asked approval to hold a revival in
Greenwood on May 31, June 1, and June 2, 2006. He requested police presence on those
days. Assistant Police Chief Lovan said the police are always present on Thursday and
Friday so that won't be a problem. Councilperson McCauley made the motion to approve the
Revival subject to Housing Authority approval, seconded by Engineer Miller and carded
unanimously.
306 MARY STREET-
Frank Killebrew of 306 Mary Street complained about Williams Street disturbances and
break-ins. Assistant Police Chief Lovan asked Mr. Killebrew to get him the exact address for
him and he will check into this.
NORTHSIDE TAVERN-
Engineer Miller said the yellow line in front of the tavern is in the City fight of way and legal
to the easement. Street Commissioner Ellis will paint hash marks in front of the yellow line.
There being no further discussion to come before the Board the motion was made by Councilperson
McCauleyf~f6~ 10:10 a.m., seconded by City Engineer Miller and carried unanimously.
