HomeMy WebLinkAbout02-22-2006MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA FEBRUARY 22, 2006 Mayor Waiz called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and on call of the roll those members present were: Councilperson McCauley and City Engineer Miller. Also present were: Street Commissioner Ellis, Fire Chief Miles, Asst. Police Chief Lovan, planning and Zoning Director Hicks, Youth Director Knight, Animal Shelter Director Wilder, Vehicle Maintenance Director Drnry, Building Commissioner Segraves, City Attorney Merkley, Parks Director Po£f, Personnel Director Calabro, Redevelopment Director Cahill, and Deputy Clerk Mayfield. Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the payroll, seconded by Councilperson McCauley and carded unanimously. Councilperson McCauley made the motion to approve the minutes of 2-1-06, 2-8-06, and 2- 15-06, seconded by Engineer Miller and carried unanimously. NEW BUS1NESS HAVEN HOUSE WALK Councilperson McCauley made the motion to approve the Haven House Walk scheduled for April 9, 2006, seconded by Engineer Miller and carded unanimously. Registration is at noon and the walk begins at 2:00 pm with completion of events at 4:00 pm. Wall Street and Court Avenue will be closed from 10:00 am till 4:00 pm. KEN ELLIS BUILDING SITE A site survey for the Ken Ellis building site was discussed. After some discussion Engineer Miller made the motion to table this until the next meeting, seconded by Councilperson McCauley and carried unanimously. GIS CONTRACT Councilperson McCauley made the motion to approve the Consulting Services Agreement between the City of Jeffersonville and Jacobi, Toombs, and Lanz to provide Geographic Information Systems support services on an as needed basis not to exceed $10,000.00, seconded by Engineer Miller and carried unanimously. ETHICS BOARD Councilperson McCauley said the Ethics Board will be convening and said he would like someone from the administration to serve on the Board. Mayor Waiz said he would have someone there. There being no further discussion to come before the Board, Councilperson McCauley made the motion to adjourn the meeting at 10:10 a.m., seconded by Engineer Miller and carried unanimously. MAYOR URER
