OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
FEBRUARY 1, 2006
In Mayor Waiz's absence, City Engineer Miller called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and on call of
the roll those members present were: Councilperson McCauley and Fire Chief Miles sitting in for City
Engineer Miller.
Also present were: Street Commissioner Ellis, Police Officer Jackson, Planning and Zoning Director
Hicks, Building Commissioner Segraves, Animal Shelter Director Wilder, Vehicle Maintenance
Director Drury, Parks Director Poff, Wastewater Treatment Director Crawford, Administrator Davis,
Personnel Director Calabro, Redevelopment Director Cahill, City Attorney Merkley and Deputy Clerk
Mayfield.
Councilperson McCauley made the motion to approve the payroll, seconded by Fire Chief
Miles and carried unanimously.
Councilperson McCauley made the motion to approve the minutes of 1-11-06, 1-18-06 and 1-
25-06 as presented, seconded by Fire Chief Miles and carded unanimously.
Councilperson McCauley made the motion, to approve the claims as presented, seconded by
Fire Chief Miles and carded unanimously.

Councilperson McCauley made the motion to take the bids under advisement for one week,
seconded by Fire Chief Miles and carried unanimously.
LIFESPAN RESOURCES
Julie Wilson requested use of Warder Park on June 1, 2006 for the Fun Walk. Fire Chief
Miles made the motion to grant permission for the use of Warder Park for the Fun Walk,
seconded by Councilperson McCauley and carded unanimously.
AGREEMENT WITH GRACIE CASILLAS
City Attorney Merkley told the Board that bond that was posted for Gracie Casillas in City
Court was refunded in the wrong amount. Ms. Casillas was refunded more money than was
posted. Councilperson McCauley made the motion to approve payments by Ms. Casillas of
$50.00 per month for 44 months with a final payment of $25.00, seconded by Fire Chief
Miles and carded unanimously.
819 AND 901 COLONIAL DRIVE CITATION
Building Commissioner S egraves said property owned by Quang Nguyen at 819 and 901
Colonial Drive was cited for violation Of exterior maintenance and grass and weeds. Building
Commissioner Segraves said the windows need to be sealed up also: Street Commissioner
Ellis said the grass and weeds need to be put in paper bags and placed in front of the building.
If these things aren't done in two weeks Building Commissioner Segraves wants a lien placed
on the property after the city cleans it up. Fire Chief Miles made the motion to give Mr.
Nguyen two weeks to clean up the property and seal the windows and doors and if not done
by then the City will clean up the property and a lien will be placed on the property, seconded
by Councilperson McCauley and carried unanimously.
SURVEY
Planning and Zoning Director Hicks said the survey for the Jeffersonville Comprehensive Plan is in the
final stages. He plans to hand it out to the Board next week. A series of neighborhood meetings are to
start in March.
There being no~rther discussion to come before the Board the motion was made by Councilperson
