OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
SPECIAL MEETING
AUGUST 5, 2005
Mayor Rob Waiz called the meeting to order at 2:30 P.M., and on call of the
roll, those present were City Engineer Bob Miller and Councilperson Connie
Sellers. Also present was Clerk Barbara Hollis.
There were no minutes, claims, or payroll presented.
OLD BUSINESS
There was no old business.
NEW BUSINESS
Mayor Waiz reviewed the proposals for property and casualty insurance
from Neace Lukens and Acordia (St. Paul's). Mayor Waiz explained tlhe
City could save approximately $60,000 with the St. Paul's policy. Mayor
Waiz did inform the Board the agent for St. Paul's is Kevin Waiz, his second
cousin, who does not work for him. Following all discussion, Councilperson
Sellers made the motion accept the St. Paul proposal, second by Engineer
Miller, passing unanimously. The Worker's Comp policy is being reviewed.
As there was no further busines} re the Board of Public Works
and Safety, the meeting was adjI P.M.
