SPECIAL MEETING
CITY HALL RENAISSANCE
OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
JULY 8, 2005
Mayor Waiz called the meeting to order at 9'35 a.m. and on call of the roll those members present were'
Councilperson Sellers and City Engineer Miller.
Also present were: Building Commissioner Segraves, Street Commissioner Ellis, Redevelopment
Director Cahill, Personnel Director Calabro, Animal Shelter Director Wilder, Parks Director Poff,
Councilperson Barbara Wilson, Fire Chief Miles, Councilperson McCauley, Councilperson Perkins,
Councilperson Fetz, and Deputy Clerk Lynne Mayfield.
Mayor Waiz made the motion to approve and sign the contract in the amount of $2,999,000.00 with E.H.
Construction to renovate and complete the new City Hall, seconded by Engineer Miller and carded
unanimously. Jack Jolly with E.H. Construction joined Mayor Waiz in signing the contract.
Mayor Waiz thanked all those who helped preserve the Quartermaster.
Council members in attendance and the City Clerk Treasurer.
He also thanked the City
Councilperson Grooms thanked everyone on behalf of the City Council who participated in this great
project including former Mayor Tom Galligan, present Mayor Rob Waiz, the Department of
Redevelopment, Sun Properties and especially Brian Forrest, the Estopinal Group and E.H.
Construction.
Mayor Waiz recognized members of the Redevelopment Commission'
Kyle Williams and Mark Pearson.
John Perkins, Tracy Ferrell,
Nathan Samuels, President of the Redevelopment Commission thanked Sun Properties and the job they
are doing and the Estopinal Group for their design.
Bryan Forrest of Sun Properties spoke of how excited he is about this project and appreciates everyone's
help.
Local Historian Carl Kramer spoke of the history of the Quartermaster.
Wayne Estopinal of the Estopinal Group presented designs of the new building. He said Kyle Wilson
has been instrumental in this project. Mr. Estopinal said he appreciates the opportunity to work in this
town.
Mayor Waiz thanked ali in attendance and Councilperson Sellers made the motion to adjourn at 9:56
