CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
REGARDING THE ENLARGEMENT OF THE
INNER CITY ROAD ECONOMIC DEVELOP~MENT AREA
WHEREAS, the Seffersonville Redevelopment CommiSsion ("Commission") did on
December 22, 1995, adopt a declaratory resolution ("Declaratory R~solutinn") establishing the Inner
City Road Economic Development Area ("Area") as an economic development area under IC 36-7-
14 and an allocation area within the Area ("Allocation Area") and confirmed the Declaratory
Resolution on February 28, 1996, after conducting a public hearing;
WHEREAS, the Commission, on May 1, 1996, after a public hearing, did adopt a resolution
amending the Declaratory Resolution ("Amendatory Resolution,) to enlarge the Area and the
Allocation Area and to authorize the Commission to contract for the construction of the Inner City
Road Project.
WHEREAS, the Commission, on October 7, 1996, after a public hearing, did adopt another
resolution amending the DecIaratory Resolution ("Second Amandatory Resolution") to enlarge the
Area and the Allocation Area and to authorize the Commission t~i contract for the construction of
the Inner City Road Project.
WHEREAS, the Commission on December 17, 1997: after a public hearing, did adopt
another resolution amending the Declaratory Resolution ("Third Arhendatory Resolution") to enlarge
the Area and the Allocation Area and to include the North Port Industrial Park.
WHEREAS, IC 36-7-14-41(c) requires that any enlarge~ment of the boundaries of an
economic development area be approved by the Common Counci!; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council has reviewed the Decla?atory Resolution as confirmed,
the Commission's Economic Development Plan approved by the Declaratory Resolution and the
written order of the Jeffersonville Plan Commission regarding the~ Declaratory Resolution and the
Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA, THAT:
(1) The Common Council hereby finds and determines thai it will be in the best interests of
the City to enlarge the boundaries of the Inner City Road EconOmic Development Area and the
Allocation Area as described in the Third Amendatory Resolution.
(2) The enlargement of the boundaries of the Inner City Rdad Economic Development Area
and the Allocation Area as described in the Third Amendatory Res~olution is hereby approved.
(3) This resolution shall be effective from and after passagb and execution by the Mayor.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Common Council of th4 City of Jeffersonville, Indiana,
this day of 1998, by a vote of__ ayes and __ nays.
