OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
MAY 11, 2005
In Mayor Waiz's absence, Engineer Miller called the. meeting to order at 9'30 a.m. and on call of the roll
those members present were: Councilperson Sellers and Building Commissioner Segraves sitting in for
City Engineer Miller.
Also present were: Building Commissioner Segraves, Police Chief Ashabranner, Parks Director Poff,
Vehicle Maintenance Director Dmry, Street Commissioner Ellis, Personnel Director Calabro,
Redevelopment Director Cahill, City Attorney Merkley and Deputy Clerk Mayfield.
Councilperson Sellers made the motion to approve the payroll, seconded by Building
Commissioner Segraves and carded unanimously.
Building Commissioner Segraves made the motion to approve the minutes of 5-4-05,
seconded by Councilperson Sellers and carded unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS
PARKING SPACE DEDICATION REQUEST
Police Chief AShabranner asked the Board to approve dedicating two parking spaces on
Meigs Avenue next to the City County Building for police personnel only. Councilperson
Sellers made the motion to approve dedicating the two spaces, seconded by Building
Commissioner Segraves and carded unanimously.
COMMENTS'
Building Commissioner Segraves said the State Building Commission office has been done
away with. Our local Building Commission office now answers to Homeland Security.
Parks Director Poff said the 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament has been cancelled. He said pool
passes for city employees are half price.
Personnel Director Calabro said she would like an ordinance written for the Street
Department regarding hypodermic needles being thrown into trashcans.
Personnel Director Calabro said the Riverbat's game is scheduled for July 8, 2005 at 7'15
p.m. There will be four free tickets per family. Fireworks are Scheduled also.
There being no further discussion to come before the Board the motion was made by City Engineer
Miller to adjou '50 a.m., seconded by Councilperson Sellers and carried unanimously.
