OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
FEBRUARY 9, 2005
Engineer Miller in Mayor Waiz's absence called the meeting to order at 9'30 a.m. and on call of the roll
those members present were: Councilperson Sellers and Building Commissioner Segraves sitting in for
Engineer Miller.
Also present were' Street Commissioner Ellis, Police Chief Ashabranner, Vehicle Maintenance Director
Dmry, Fire Chief Miles, Redevelopment Director Cahill, Coordinator Davis, Personnel Director
Calabro, Wastewater Treatment Director Crawford, Animal Shelter Director Wilder, Parks Director
Poff, Planning and Zoning Director Hicks, City Attorney Merkley and Deputy Clerk Mayfield.
Councilperson Sellers made the motion to approve the payroll as presented, seconded by
Building Commissioner Segraves and carded unanimously.
Councilperson Seller~ made the motion to approve the minutes of 2-2-05 as presented,
seconded by Building Commissioner Segraves and carded unanimously.
BITUMINOUS BIDS
Bids were submitted by: Sellersburg Stone, Asphalt Supply, Liter's Quarry, Mac
Construction, Gohmann Asphalt, Dave O'Mara Contractor, Makowsky Oil and Petroleum
Trader's. (Copies attached) Councilperson Sellers made the motion to table the bids for one
week, seconded by Building Commissioner Segraves and carried unanimously.
HANDICAPPED PARKING
John Hatton who resides at 448 Ewing Lane requested a handicapped parking sign in front of
his residence. Engineer Miller said the police department would check the location.
Councilperson Sellers made the motion to~ approve pending Police Chief Ashabranner's
approval, seconded by Building Commissioner Segraves and carried unanimously.
COMMENTS'
Street Commissioner Ellis said a wash doWn is needed under the Kennedy Bridge and that
Duffy's Landing needs a wash down also.
Administrator Davis said the web site by Custom Intemet SolutiOns must be ADA compliant.
Attorney Merkley said the new street sign says Meigs Street instead of Meigs Avenue.
Engineer Miller said he is getting it changed.
There being no further discussion to come before the Board the motion was made by Councilperson
Sellers to adjourn at 10'30 a.m., seconded by Building Commissioner Segraves and carried
