OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
JANUARY 19, 2005
Engineer Miller called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and on call of the roll those members present
were: Councilperson Sellers and Building Commissioner Segraves sitting in for Engineer Miller.
Also present were: Administrator Rich Davis, Building Commissioner Segraves, Vehicle Maintenance
Director Drury, Street Commissioner Ellis, ASsistant Police Chief Lovan, Personnel Director Calabro,
Animal Shelter Director Wilder, Parks DirectOr Poff, Planning and Zoning Director Hicks, Fire Chief
Miles, and Deputy Clerk Lynne Mayfield.
Councilperson Sellers made the motion to approve the minutes of I-5-05 as presented,
seconded by Building Commissioner Segraves and carried unanimously.

CHAUTAUQUA
Yvonne Knight of the Howard Steamboat Museum appeared before the board seeking permission to
again hold the annual Chautauqua on May 21. and May 22. 2005. She asked where the banners could be
hung. Planning and Zoning Director Hicks said he could help her ~vith that. Counciiperson Sellers
made the motion to approve the Chautauqua on May 21. and 22. 2005, seconded by Building
Commissioner Segraves and carried unanimously.
Comments:
Administrator Davis asked when the cell phone contract with Nextel would be up. He is not happy with
his service.
Animal Shelter Director Wilder said he is not happy with his cell phone service either and asked about
pagers.
Personnel Director Calabro said Dan Kramer who is with Alliance Municipal Insurance would be back
in the spring to visit all the parks.
Personnel Director Calabro said the City wOuld be shopping for health and dental insurance soon. She
asked that all depamnent heads remind their employees that changes to their health and dental can only
be made at certain times. She said she will send out a memo in regard to this.
Personnel Director Calabro said the next Mayor's Night In is scheduled for Wednesday, JanUary 26,
2005 at 6:30 p.m. at the Riverbend Facility.
Planning and Zoning Director Hicks said he is trying to get the parking study going. ]He said the
committee will be made up of twelve people or less and they will meet five times throughout the study.
Planning and Zoning Director Hicks said a new GIS Services Contract is to be presented next week.
Assistant Police Chief Lovan asked Engineer Miller when the Corydon Porter parking lot would be
done. Engineer Miller said he hopes to start next Monday.
There being no further discussion to come before the Board the motion was made by Councilperson
Sellers to adjourn at I0:10 a.m., seconded by Building Commissioner Segraves and carried
unanimously.
