OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
NOVEMBER 24, 2004
Mayor Waiz called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and on call of the roll those members present were:
Councilperson Sellers and Engineer Miller.
Also present were: Building Commissioner Segraves, Street Commissioner Ellis, Police Chief.
Ashabranner, Vehicle Maintenance Director Dmry, Fire Chief Miles, Redevelopment Director Cahill,
Coordinator Davis, Personnel Director Calabro, Wastewater Treatment Director Crawford, Animal
Shelter Director Wilder, Parks Director Poff, City Attorney Merkley and Deputy Clerk Mayfield.
City Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the payroll as presented, seconded by
Councilperson Sellers and carded unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS
PACKER BIDS
Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the bid of Best Equipment in the amount of
$118,520.00 for a Freightliner EZ Packer subject to working out a lease agreement, seconded
by Councilperson Sellers and carded unanimously.
HIGH SCHOOL STOP LIGHT
Engineer Miller said he needs signatures on the contract for the high school stoplight.
Engineer Miller made the motion to sign the contract with the State subject to City Attorney
Merkley getting approval from the County, seconded by Conncilperson Sellers and carded
unanimously.
COMMENTS:
An appeals meeting is scheduled for November 30, 2004 in Room 308 at 6:30 p.m.
Animal Shelter Director Wilder said all shares for the Animal Shelter have been collected for
the year.
Police Chief Ashabranner said extra patrols would be out during the holidays.
Personnel Director Calabro said a PERF pre-retirement workshop is scheduled for Thursday,
January 20, 2004 at the Clarksville Library.
Personnel Director Calabro passed out ADA training evaluation forms to the department
heads.
Wastewater Treatment Director Crawford said he met with Planning and Zoning Director
Hicks and welcomes him aboard.
There being no further discussion to come before the Board the motion was made by Engineer Miller to
adjou~~/~econded by Councilperson Sellers and carried unanimously.
