A RESOLUTION APPROVING SAI.E OF
REAL ESTATE WITH A VALUE OVER $$0,000.00
WHEREAS, the City' of Jeffersonville, Indiana (the "City") owns a two
(2) acre parcel of real estate adjacent to the Josephine B. Ogle Animal Shelter
(the "Real Estate") that was not acquired through eminent domain procedures
and is not needed for operation of the Shelter; and
WHEREAS, the Real Estate has been appraised for $50,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Louisville & Indiana Railroad proposes to purchase
the Real Estate and build on it a new and expanded office facility and station;
and
WHEREAS, the Louisville & Indiana Railroad proposal is a viable
economic development project that will greatly benefit the citizens of the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the sale
of the Real Estate to the Louisville & Indiana Railroad for the sum of
$50,000.00 is hereby approved as required by IC 36-1-11-3(c)(1).
