Mayor Waiz called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. md on call of the roll those members present Were:
Councilperson Sellers and City Engineer Miller.
Also present were: Building Commissioner Seg!avesI VehiCle Maintenance Director Dmry, Fire Chief
Miles, Youth Director Knight, Police Chief Ashabrdnner, Animal Shelter Director Wilder, Personnel
Director Calabro, Parks Director Poff, Wastewat~r Treatment Director Crawford, City Attorney Merkley
and Deputy Clerk Mayfield.
Councilperson Sellers made the motion to appro'~e the~ minutes of 9-1-04 as presented,
seconded by City Engineer Miller and carded unanimously.

NEW BUSINESS
REAL ESTATE LEASE
City Attorney Merkley asked the Board to appro~Ce the~ $1.00 per year lease with Ned Pfau for
the property across from the fire department headqu~ers. Engineer Miller made the motion
to approve the lease for $1.00, seconded by Councilpe'rson Sellers and carried unanimously.
COMMENTS:
Vehicle Maintenance Director Drnry asked about blllfhg for fuel.
George Trembly sitting in for Street Commissio er E is asked permission to hire a CDL
driver. Engineer Miller made the motion to approve hiring one CDL driver, seconded by
Councilperson Sellers and carried unanimously, i
Parks Director Poff said the Field house would be open today.
Personnel Director Calabro said a Sexual H~r nt Seminar is scheduled for September 22,
2004. Times are 9-11 am, 1-3 pm, and 3-5 pm.
Personnel Director Calabro will also be meeting s~meone about ADA issues.

Animal Shelter Director Wilder said he needg a v~a~ accessible pat'king 'space at the shelter.
George Trembly said the street department w6uld ~ake care of it.
Engineer Miller said curbs are needed at the Presbyterian Church on Watt Street to keep
water off of the parking lot. Mayor Waiz will Ioo~ at it with Engineer Miller.
Mayor Walz informed everyone of the Czty Pride Cleanup on September 25, 2004 from 8:30
to 11:30 a.m.

Mayor Waiz informed everyone that flags are o b own a ha f-staff on September 11,
2004.
Mayor Waiz said he needs information on ov rtim~ worked due to the windstorm for
reimbursement
purposes.

for a job well done.
