OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
NOVEMBER 17, 2003
Mayor Galligan called the meeting to order at 9:40 A.M., and on call of the
roll, those present were City Engineer Bob Miller and Parks Director Rick
Elliott.
Present were: Planning and Zoning Director Chris Padgett, Wastewater
Treatment Representative Mike Meyer, Vehicle Maintenance Director Mike
Dmry, Police Chief Mike Pavey, Personnel Director Cissy Ellis, Building
Commissioner Bill Gavin, Fire Chief Mike Smith, and Deputy Clerk
Barbara Hollis.
City Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the minutes of November
3, 2003, and November 10, 2003, second by Director Elliott and passed
unanimously.
City Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the payroll as presented,
seconded by Director Elliott. Mayor Galligan asked if there was anyone on
the payroll that had not gone through the Personnel Director, or that he does
not know about? As there was no response, the mOtion passed unanimously.
LOADING ZONE REQUEST.
Ms. Carolyn Minutillo of Lavender Hill, appeared before the board to
request a loading zone for the business at the comer of Spring and Maple.
Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the request for one space on
Maple, second by Director Elliott, passing unanimously.
STREET CLOSING
Engineer Miller made the motion to allow the closure of Spring Street at
10th for all d~y on Wednesday, November 19. This was a request from
Gohman. Engineer Miller will notify the schools, 911, etc. Director Elliott
seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
APPROVAL OF CLAIM
Mayor Galligan presented two claims for Hannum, Wagle, & Cline for
engineering services for an East End Fire Station. Mayor Galligan said the
station will be built sooner or later, and the claims need to be paid as the
company has worked hard. Engineer Miller made the motion to approve
both claims, second by Director Elliott, passing unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board of Public Works
and Safety, the meeting was adjourned at 9:55 A.M.
