OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
AUGUST 11, 2003
Mayor Galligan called the meeting to order at 9:40 a.m. and on call of the roll those members present
Were: City Engineer Miller and Councilperson Frantz.
Also present were: Building Commissioner Bill Gavin, Personnel Director Ellis, Police Chief Pavey,
Animal Shelter Director Wilder, Wastewater Treatment D~rector Cmwford, Vehicle Mmntenance Darector
Drury, Redevelopment Director Robinson, Street Commissioner Grant, Planning and Zoning Director
Padgett, Parks Director Elliott, Administrator Rich Davis, Fire Chief Smith, City Attorney Galligan, and
Clerk Lymae Mayfield.
City Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the payroll as presented, seconded by Councilpersun
Frantz and carried unanimously. Mayor Galligan asked if anyone is on the payroll that he doesn't know
about.

Rob Rhodes, owner of Rob's Touch of Class appeared before the Board and said he
would like to do the graphics on the advertising benches. City Attorney Galligan said
someone has the contract on that at this time but she will check to see when that contract
expires. Mr. Rhode's was told he could submit a quote.
WALGREEN' S

Karen Arnold told the Board that Walgreen's ~s going to start staying open 24 hours
beginning September 1, 2003 to better serve the public. She asked for the Board's
approval but City Attorney Galligan said she didn't need Board approval for this.

Nellie Knowland thanked City Engineer Miller for the streetlight in her neighborhood.
PERSONNEL MATTER.
Councilperson Frantz made the motion to approve the recommendation of Police Chief Pavey on
a personnel matter, seconded by City Engineer Miller and carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board the motion was made by Engineer
Miller to adjourn at 10:00 a.m. seconded by Councilperson Frantz
and carried unanimously.
