HomeMy WebLinkAbout05-05-2003MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA MAY 5, 2003 Mayor Galligan called the meeting to order at 9:45 a.m. and on call of the roll those members present were: Councilperson Frantz and City Engineer Miller. Also present were: Police Chief Pavey, Wastewater Treatment Director Crawford, Redevelopment Director Robinson, Animal Shelter Director Wilder, Street Commissioner Grant, Planning and Zoning Director Padgett, Engineer Dixon, Parks Director Elliott, Building Commissioner Gavin, Vehicle Maintenance Director Drury, and Deputy Clerk Suzy Bass. RESIDENT ONLY PARKING Robert Travis appeared before the Board to request a Resident Only Parking permit for a home he owns ?7.~at 427 Graham St. The motion was made by Eng!neer Miller to approve the request, subject to approval by Chief Pavey, seconded by Councilperson Frantl and carried unanimously. BOOM BOXES Don Burdin, 2005 Woodland Ct, asked to appear before the Board concerning Boom Boxes. No action was taken as Mr. Burdin not attend the meeting. CIVIL AIR PATROL LICENSE AGREEMENT Mayor Galligan asked the Board to approve renewing the Civil Air Patrol License Agreement. The motion was made by Engineer Miller to approve the renewal seconded by Councilperson Frantz and carried unanimously. COMPLAINT OF RAILROAD TRACKS Engineer Miller informed the Board of a complaint he received from Mrs. Lindtey, of Buttonwood, concerning teenagers driving their cars up and down the old railroad tracks and being a nuisance. Mayor Galligan asked Engineer Miller to block offboth ends with barriers. There being no further discussion to come before the Board the motion was made by Parks Director Elliott to adjourn at 9:50 a.m., seconded by Personnel Director Ellis and carried unanimously. ATTEST:
