OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONV1LLE, INDIANA
JULY 14, 2003
Mayor Galligan called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and on call of the roll those members present
were: City Engineer Miller and Councilperson Frantz.
Also present were: Wastewater Treatment Director Crawford, Administrator Rich Davis, Fire Chief
Smith, Parks Director Elliott, City Attorney Galligan, Redevelopment Director Robinson, Planning and
Zoning Director Padgett, Building Commissioner Gavin, Street Commissioner Grant, Animal Shelter
Director Wilder, Vehicle Maintenance Director Dmry, and Deputy Clerk Lynne Mayfield.
Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the payroll as presented, seconded by
Councilperson Frantz and carded unanimously. Mayor Galligan asked if anyone is on the
payroll that he nor Personnel Director Ellis are not aware of.
Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the minutes of 6-30-03 and 7-7-03 as presented,
seconded by Councilperson Frantz and carded unanimously.
TENTH STREET PROJECT BIDS
Jorge Lanz of Jacobi, Toombs, and Lanz opened bids for the Tenth Street Phase 1 Project. They are as
follows:
Gohmann Asphalt- $1,317,575.90
Mac Construction and Excavation Inc.- $1,546,427.00
American Contracting and Service Inc.- $1,492,001.00
Dave O'Mara Contractor Inc.- $1,474,697.43
Engineer Miller made the motion to take the bids under advisement for one week, seconded by
Councilperson Frantz and carded unanimously. The engineer's estimate is $1,135,752.32.
BOB HEDGE PARK LIGHTING
Engineer Miller made the motion to put up five additional lights at Bob Hedge Park, seconded by
Councilperson Frantz and carded unanimously.
STREET CLOSURE FOR ANTIQUE CAR DISPLAY
Lisa Green with Main Street asked the Board to close Court Avenue from Wall Street to Spring Street
on Friday, July 18, 2003 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. for an antique car display. Engineer Miller made
the motion to approve the street closure, seconded by Councilperson Frantz and carded unanimously.
Street Commissioner Grant will drop off the barricades.
SALE OF EQUIPMENT
City Attorney Galligan said only one proposal was received on the sale of equipment at the old IWR
plant. The proposal was from Waste Treatment Specialty Equipment Inc. in the amount of $1,553.00
with a certified check attached for $1,553.00. Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the sale of
the eqm'pment to Waste Treatment Specialty Equipment Inc. for $1,553.00, seconded by Councilperson
Frantz and carded unanimously. (List of equipment attached).

REQUEST FOR BIDS
Notice is hereby given that the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana (hereinafter "City") will offer
for sale and accept sealed written bids to purchase the following equipment:
Polyrne;"Unit-Model Unknown; Two (2) Gear Drive Mixers-Model Unknown;
Press-Model 1200N32; Compressor-Model SG1.5
Age of equipment is approximately 20 years old. Total hours of operation is
Unknown.
Further information on the sale of this apparatus may be obtained at the Mayor's Office,
City of Jeffersonville, 4th Floor, City-County Building, 501 E. Court Avenue,
Jeffersonville, indiana 47130, (812) 285-6400.
Please send any and all bids to the office of the City Attorney, Anne Marie Galligan,
Room 410, 501 E. Court Avenue, Jeffersonville, IN 47130.
All bids must be received before 9:30 a.m. on Monday, July 14, 2003 to be considered,
at which time bids will be opened and read aloud at the Jeffersonville Board of Public
Works & Safety meeting in the Mayor's Conference Room, 4th Floor, City-County
Building, Jeffersonville, Indiana.
The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
