OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
JUNE 2, 2003
Mayor Galligan called the meeting to order at 9:40 a.m. and on call of the roll those members present
Were: City Engineer Miller and Councilperson Frantz.
Also present were: Building Commissioner Bill Gavin, Police Chief Pavey, Animal Shelter Director
Wilder, Wastewater Treatment Director Crawford, Vehicle Maintenance Director Dmry,
Redevelopment Director Robinson, Sewage Office Manager Johnson, Administrator Rich Davis, Fire
Chief Smith, City Attorney Oalligan, and Clerk Lynne Mayfield.
City Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the minutes of 4-28-03, 5-12.-03, and 5-19-03 as
presented, seconded by Councilperson Frantz and carried unanimously.
VENDOR PERMIT
Jane Keppy of 931 Fulton Street asked for approval of a permit to hold a yard sale once a week. The
Keppy's think their property is zoned commercial. Planning and Director Padgett said it is zoned
residential, but he will look into their request and report back next week.
STREET CLOSING
Debbie Huttelmayor of 1065 Honeysuckle Court requested a mad closure on Garden Court on Saturday,
July 19, 2003 for a fund raiser from 11:00 to 5;00 p.m. If it rains on Saturday it wilt be held on Sunday,
July20, 2003 at the same time. Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the street c~osure on
Saturday July 19, 2003, seconded by Councilperson Frantz and carried unanimously.
Bar-B-Que
Donnie Crrowe of the Jeffersonville Fire Department said his Union would like to hold a fund raiser
dinner from 3:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. on June 20, 2003 at the comer of Court and Wall Streets. Parks
Director Elliott will block a couple of parking spaces and barricades will be set up on Wall Street on
Friday, June 20, 2003. Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the fund raiser at the comer of Court
and Wall Streets on Friday, June 20, 2003, seconded by Councilperson Frantz and carded urmnimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board the motion was made by Engineer Miller to
adjourn at 10:20 a.m. seconded~y CouncilpersOn Frantz and carried unanimously.
