OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
MARCH 3, 2003
Mayor Galligan called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and on call of the roll those members present
were: City Engineer Miller and Parks Director Elliott sitting in for Councilperson Frantz.
Also present were: Wastewater Treatment Director Crawford, Administrator Rich Davis, Vehicle
Maintenance Director Drury, Street Commissioner Grant, Planning and Zoning Director Padgett,
Redevelopment Director Robinson, Sewage Office Manager Johnson, Personnel Director Ellis, Police
Chief Pavey, Animal Shelter Director Wilder, Parks Director Elliott, Engineering Coordinator Dixon,
and Deputy Clerk Lynne Mayfield.
Mayor Galligan asked if there was anyone on the payroll that he or Personnel Director Ellis
f-" are not aware of. None being, Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the payroll as
'")resented, seconded by Parks Director Elliott and carried unanimously.
RESIDENT ONLY PARKING
Sharon Burleigh who resides at 209 W. Maple Street requested a resident only parking sign. She said
her neighbors have lots of visitors and take up the parking space. She voiced concem about the house at
217 W. Maple Street where she said about ten people are living. She asked what guidelines are on how
many people can occupy a dwelling of a certain size. Planning and Zoning Director Padgett said he
would confer with Building Commissioner Gavin on this issue. Mrs. Burleigh said there is a lot of junk
in the yard at the 339-341 Pearl Street apartment building. Engineer Miller made the motion to approve
the resident only parking, seconded by Parks Director Elliott and carried unanimously. Street
Commissioner Grant will clear the junk from the yard. at 339-341 Pearl Street and the property will be
billed.
FIXED ASSETS
Mr. Tim Wells appeared before the Board to talk about his Fixed Asset plan. He said he
works with several cities and towns throughout Indiana. He does a written report and a video
bf the fixed assets. He said he will come back and do a walk through on the plan and will
return later with a proposal. It was decided by the Mayor and the Board to use a $1,000.00
~ hreshold when doing the fixed assets.
CIVIL AIR PATROL LICENSE AGREEMENT
Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the Civil Air Patrol License Agreement pending
the City Attorney's approval, seconded by Parks Director Elliott and carried unanimously.
PROFESSIONAL SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH VS ENGINEERING
Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the Professional Service Agreement with VS Engineering,
pending approval by the City Attorney, seconded by Parks Director Elliott and carded unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board the motion was made by City Engineer to
