Mayor Galligan called the meeting to order at 9:30 am and on call of' the roll those members present
were: Councilperson Waiz and City' Enaineer Miiler
Also Nesent were: Personnel Director Ellis. Safkly Director Rodden, Wastewater Treatment Director
Crawford, Administrator Rich Davis. Fire Chief Smiti~. Building Commissioner Gavin. Vehicle
Maintenance I)irector Drury. Street Commissioner Grant Pianning and Zoning Director Padgett, Police
ChiefPavey. Parks Director Eliiolt. Engineering ( oo~dim',to? l)ixon, and Deputy Clerk Lynne Mayfield.

County Commissioner Vickie Hah'e came ~;et. re ti;e Bo;-~d i,: ask the Mayor to g~ve some extra time to
try to come up witt~ a solution to the h~ndfill proNem ~t~e ('~ty has a contract currently with Waste
Management ~o receive our garbage and siudge ~br $2 00 k:ss per ton than the Clark County Landfill.
The Mayor said Waste Managemeut ~s c~scr h~ distance ~nd o~a' h-ucks aren't damaged like they are at
