OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
DECEMBER 23, 2002
Mayor Galligan called the meeting to order at 9:40 am and on call of the roll those members present
Were: City Engineer Miller and Councilperson Waiz
Also present xvere: Personnel Director Ellis, Building Commissioner Gavin, Police ChiefPavey,
Sewage Manager Johnson, Engineer Dixon, Street Commissioner Grant, Animal Shelter Director
Wilder, Wastewater Treatment Director Craxxt'ord, Safbtv Director Rodden, Vehicle Maintenance
Director Drury, Fire Chief Smith, and Clerk Lynne Mayfield
City Engineer Miller made tile motion to approve the payroll as presented, seconded by Councilperson
Waiz and carried unanimously Mayor Galligan asked fa vone is on the payroll that he doesn't know
about.
SALE OF SANITATION EQUI__P_M_E_.N~T
The Board advertised to solicit bids to purchase various pieces of excess sanitation equipment The bids
were scheduled to be received and opened at 9:3(t o'clock am on Monday, December 23, 2002. Gary
Kruer bid a total of $6,000.00 f'or the 1995 and 1998 Garbage Trucks, a 1992 Dray Box and a 1992 Sludge
Truck (see attached bids). Truck Broker's [nc. bici a total of $(;6.000.00 for tile same pieces of equipment
(see attached bid tabulation). Engineer Miller made a motion to accept the Truck Broker's Inc. bid in the
amount of $48,000.00 for the 1998 and I995 Garbage Tracks only (attached). Councilperson Waiz
seconded the motion, and tile motion carried by a unanin;ous vote
Engineer Miller then moved to take the balance of the bids under advisement Councilperson Waiz
Seconded, and the motion carried by a unanimous vote.

Saundra Johnson appeared before the Boarci in regard to the parade on January 20, 2003 from i2:30 to 1:00

RESIDENT ONLY PARKING
John Crank requested resident only parking at /406 E 9a' Street Police ChiefPavey will check out the
location.

Engineer Miller made the motion to approve three
Waiz and carried unanimously.

There being no further business to come heibre the Board the motion xvas made by Engineer Miller to
adjourn at 10:00 a.m. seconded by Counci!person Waiz and carried unanimously.
