RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA,
AUTHORIZING A MAJOR MODIFICATION TO THE CFF APPLICATION TO THE
INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AND ADDRESSING RELATED MATTERS
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana has recognized the
need to stimulate growth and to maintain a sound economy within its corporate limits; and
WHEREAS, the Indiana Department of Commerce, under the authority of the Housing and
Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, has awarded a CFF grant to the City of
Jeffersonville for streetscape improvements along the Spring Street Business Distdct to
address slum and blighted conditions; and
WHEREAS, the bids for work under this grant have exceeded available funds necessitating a
modification of the project scope to reduce the project area; and
WHEREAS, the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana will conduct a public hearing prior to the
submission of the CFF grant modification to the Indiana Department of Commerce, said public
hearing to provide the public an opportunity for comment on the proposed grant modification;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonvilie,
Indiana that:
The Mayor is authorized to prepare and submit a major modification to the CFF grant for
streetscape improvements addressing the slum and blighted conditions along the Spring Street
Business District. All other previous agreements remain intact in regards to general
administration, project management and contracts, pursuant to regulations of the Indiana
Department of Commerce and the United States Department of Housing and Urban
Development.
