OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
MONDAY DECEMBER BO~ 1993
Mayor Raymond J. Parker Jr. called the meeting to order at 9:30 A.M.~
and on call of the roll those members present were Donna Baird,
Personnel and Safety Director Harold Lakeman, and Sewage Collection
Office Director Jim Matra.
Also present were: Building Commissioner Bill Gavin, City Engineer Bob
Miller~ Street Commissioner George Trembly~ Maintenance Foreman Mike
Ewton~ Plant Superintendent Larry James~ Police Major Dennis Simons
Assistant Fire Chief Clifton James Jr.~ Animal Shelter Manager Jan
Wheatley~ Parks Superintendent Rodger Caldwell, Administrative
Assistant Donna Baird, and Clerk Alice Davis.
Directo~ Lakeman made the motion to approve the minutes of the meeting
of December 13~ 1993 as presented~ seconded by Director Matra and
carried unanimously.

seconded by Director Matra and carried unanimously.

TAKE HOME CAR ORDINANCE
Mayor Parker said that the Take Home Car Policy Ordinance waa passed
by the Common Council and we will start enforcing it at the conclusion
of the 14 days. Mayor Parker asked all the Department Heads to get
with Street Commissioner George Trembly to get a standard form to
abide by. He also asked the Department Heads to talk to their
employees and explain the Ordinance in detail as to what it entails
and more specifically the clauses.
MERRY CHRISTMAS
Mayor Parker wants to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New
Year and he said that he is very fortunate to have the Departments
Heads and employees that he has working for the City.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
Mayor Parker wants to remind everyone about the goals and objectives
they should be turned in before the first of the year. Also a copy
should be sent to the Common Council at the request of Councitperson
Donna Frantz.

STREET LIGHTS
City Engineer Bob Miller has a request from Clark Maritime Center to
install street lights at 2 intersection at the Eagle Steel entrance
and the Administration Building. Bob recommends to install the street
lights. Also he has a request for a street light at 1003 Fulton
Street. Director Matra made the motion to approve the street lights
at the 2 intersections of the Clark Maritime Center and 1003 Fulton
Street, seconded by Director Lakeman~ and carried unanimously.
MERRY CHRISTMAS
Parks Superintendent Rodger Caldwell wishes everyone a Merry Christmas
from the Board of Parks~ Thanks to all the Department Heads for their
continued support~ its been one of the best years we~ve had since
~e~ve been in operation.
