Pipe Collapse Repair
Flood Levee Str 166+50
Jeffersonville, Indiana
Dear Colonel Grieco:
It has come to our attention that the existing 36-inch pipeline which carries low flows passing
through the culvert under the levee at Cane Run has become blocked in its upper reach by silt
and debris. Apparently, this situation is a result of the collapse of the metal pipes which have
been removed, which allowed the backfill to be washed through and perhaps silting up the 36-
inch.
We respectfully request that this 36-inch sewer be cleaned out by your contractor as part of the
levee culvert replacement project. This will result in a complete, functional system which will
operate as it did prior to the collapse.
Sincerely,
City of Jeffersonville
