OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
MONDAY NOVEMBER 27~ 1995
Mayor Raymond J. Parker Jr. called the meeting to order at 9:30 A.M.,
and on call of th6 roll those members'present were MaYor Raymond J.
Parker Jr., sewage Collection Office Director Jim Matra and
Administrative Assistant Donna Baird filled in for PersQnnel and
safety DirectOr Harold Lakeman 'in his absence.
Also present were: Building Commissioner Bill Gavin, City Engineer Bob
Mlller~ Street Commissioner George Trembly, City Attorney Mike
Gillenwater, Sewage Office Manager Bob Goldman, Police Chief Charles
Elder, Fire Inspector Randy Leverett, Animal Shelter Director Ed
Voyles, City Services Coordinator Leslie Kavanaugh, Parks
Superintendent Rick Elliott, Wastewater Treatment Plant Director
Kendall Coleman, and Clerk Alice Davis.
Director Matra made the motion to approve the minutes of the meeting
of November 20 1995 as presented, seconded by Member Baird and carried
unanimously.
Director Matra made the moti6n to approve the payrolls as presented,
seconded by Member Baird and carried unanimously.

Police Chief Elder asked to have this tabled until next
investigate this further.
JINGLEBELL CHASE RUN ....

Lousia Henson, representing Jinglebelt Chase Run is requesting
permission to close the 2nd. Street Bridge on Saturday December 9,
1995 at 9:00am for about 1/2 hour for the Jlnglebell Chase Run. All
the monies will be donated to Bridge The Gap, Inc.. Member Baird made
the motion to approve closing the 2nd. Street Bridge on Saturday
December 9, 1995 at 9:00am, seconded by Director Matra, and carried
unanimously.
STAR OF LOUISVILLE LIGHT UP THE RIVER CONTEST
Bonnie Meyer, representing Star of Louisville, Light Up The River
Contest is asking City's and Businesses to enter the contest and is
requesting Jeffersonvllle to light up the Overlook for the contest.
The contest will start December 1, 1995 and go through December 30,
1995. Mayor Parker asked Parks Superintendant Rick Elliott to look
into the financial part.
CDL
Street Commissioner George Trembly at the request of the City Clerk
Treasurers Office is asking for approval to use the same Workman
Compt. Doctors for the CDL driver physicals instead of going to their
private Doctor. Director Matra made the motion to approve using the
Workmans Compt. Doctors for the CDL driver physicals, seconded by
Member Baird, and carried unanimously.

ENCUMBERED DEBTS
Mayor Parker said he wants to reinterate on what he brought up a
couple of times at the last 2 meetings in regards to encumbered debts.
The new administration has asked to hold up anything that would entail
being paid in the year of 1996, anything that has been ~ncumbered if
possible. If it is already committed there is nothing we can do about
it.
STREET LIGHT OUT
Administrative Assistant Donna Baird had a call from a Lady who
resides at 703 Virginia Avenue concerning a street light that has been
out a long time at the corner of V~$rginia and Frederick Avenues. She
said she has called PSI repeatedly-and has had no response. City
Engineer Miller said he would call PSI for her.
RIVERPORT II LIFT STATION REPAIRS
Wastewater Treatment Plant Manager Kendall Coleman reported that at
the Riverport II Lift Station a mdtor went bad and needs repaired at
the cost of $1,042.66. DirectOP Matra made'the motion to apProVe the
repair of the motor at Rlverport II Lift Staion, seconded by Member
Baird, and carried unanimously.

09:55a.m., seconded by Member Baird, and carried unanimously.
