Parker Jr. called the meeting to order at 9:30 A.M., and on call of the roll those members present were Mayor Raymond J. Parker Jr., Personnel and Safety Director Harold Lakeman, and Sewage Collection Office Director Jim Matra. Also present were: Building Commissioner Bill Gavin, City Engineer Bob Miller~ Street Commissioner George Trembly~ City Attorney Mike Gillenwater, Sewage Office Manager Bob Goldman, Maintenance Foreman Mike Ewton~ Police Chief Charlms Elder~ Fire Chief Jerry Dooley~ Animal Shelter Director Ed Voyles, City Services Coordinator Leslie Kavanaugh~ Assistant Parks Superintendent Rick Elliott, Administrative Assistant Donna Baird, Wastewater Treatment Manager Kendall Coleman~ Clerk and Treasurer C. Richard Spencer Jr., and Clerk Alice Davis. Director Lakeman made the motion of January 30 & February 6 1995 Matra and carried unanimously. to approve the minutes of as presented, seconded the meeting by Director CORRECTION Animal Shelter Dlrector Ed Voyles has a correction for the minutes of January 30~ i995 on page ~ under Employee Leave o~ Absence, it states Mike Gentry has a injury to his 4th & 5th vertebra and may need surgery on his right arm because of a pinched nerve. It should be changed to read that Mike has back injury of the Ath and 5th vertebra and may need surgery of a pinched nerve. Director Lakeman made the motion to accept the minutes with thmt correction~ seconded by Director Marra~ and carried unanimously. Director Lakeman made the motion to approve the payrolls as presented, seconded by Director Matra and carried unanimously. STOP SIGN Police Chief Charles Elder reported on the stop sign request at Park Place and Jackson Street. He explained that they are still looking into this and will have the recommendations next week. RESIDENT PARKING SIGN Phyllis Kaelin, 913 Goyne Avenue is requesting a resident parking sign. She did not appear before the Board, this was tabled. BUDGET TRANSFER Street Commissioner George Trembly is requesting a salary increase of .~5 per hour for Mike Ewton for obtaining a CDL license. George would like to transfer $5~0.00 from Vehicle Maintenance line ~1t? overtime to Mechanic/Foreman line ~i1~ effective as of January 1, 1995. Director Lakeman made the motion to approve Street Commissioner George Tremblys request of .~5 per hour for Mike Ewton contingent upon the Councils approval~ seconded by Director Marra~ and carried unanimously. PAGE B FEBRUARY 13, 1995 THANK YO~ Police Chief Charles Elder reported on the incident that took place on Hopkins Lane last week. Chief Elder wants to thank Donna Baird for ope~oing up her home for a command center during this situation. CERTIFIED LETTERS SENT TO BOAT DOCKERS Assistant Parks Superintendant Rick Elliott reported that the Parks Dept. has sent certified letters to the boat owners that has electricity to their boats concerning the rising of the river. (see copy) There being Works and Safety, 09:35a.m., seconded no further business to come before the Board of Public Director Lakeman made the motion 'to adjourn at by Director Marra~ and carried unanimously.
