HomeMy WebLinkAbout12-02-1996MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA MONDAY DECEMBER 2,1996 Mayor Thomas R. on call of the Harold Lakeman, Galligan called the meeting to order at 9:30 A.M., and roll those members present were: Personnel Director and Safety Director Anthony Harrod. Also present were: Street Commissioner George Trembly, City Engineer Bob Miller, Sewage Office Manager Bob Goldman, Police Chief Mike Pavey, Parks Superintendent Rick Elliott, Wastewater Treatment Plant Director Kendall Coleman, Fire Chief Mike Smith,Building Commissioner Bill Gavin, Vehicle Maintenance Foreman Mike Ewton, Animal Shelter Director Jim Glllenwater, Wastewater Treatment Plant Asst. Scott Tlmmerman, and Clerk Lynne Kempf. Director Lakeman made the motion to approve the payrolls a§ presented, seconded by Director Harrod and carried unanimously. CLARK MEMORIAL HOSPITAL Wayne Estopinal of the Estopinal Group spoke in regards to changing the one way street on Sparks Avenue beside the hospital to a two way street. After much discussion, the Mayor suggested meeting at the hospital with the departments involved with a fire truck to work out this request for the best interest of all parties. The meeting has been set for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 5th. MARTIN LUTHER KING CELEBRATION Reverend Michael Anderson asked for a banner to be hung for the Martin Luther King celebration around the 6th of January. The Mayor said a location for the banner will be found. DRAINAGE Nellie Knowland said she is having a drainage residence.
