Galligan called the meeting to order at 9:30 A.M.~ and
roll those members present were: Personnel Director
and Safety Director Anthony Harrod.
Also present were: Street Commissioner George Trembly, City Engineer
Bob Miller, City Attorney Anne Marie Sedwick, Sewage Office Manager
Bob Goldman, Planning and Development Director Jim Urban, Parks
Superintendent Rick Elliott, Animal Shelter Director Jim
Gillenwater,Vehicle Maintenance Foreman Mike Ewton,Assistant Fire
Chief William Davis,Wastewater Treatment Plant Assistant Director
Scott Timmerman, Police Chief Mike Pavey, Fire Chief Mike
Smith,Building Commissioner Bill Gavin,Redevelopment Assistant
Director Jennifer Mead, and Clerk Lynne Kempf.
Director Lakeman made the motion to approve the minutes of the meeting
of December 9,1996 as presented, seconded by Director Harrod, and
carried unanimously.

Jennifer Bertrand, standing in for David Mosley, asked for assistance
with some bills incurred because of the sewer problem at his building
at 100 W Court Avenue. The Mayor said this would be looked into and
discussed.
INTER-CITY ROAD CLAIMS
Redevelopment Assistant Director Jennifer Mead presented 2 claims from
Jacobl, Toombs,and Lanz for approval. The Inter-local portion of the
project is a total of S14,769.00, of which Jeffersonville pays
$7,384.50. The Jeffersonvllle portion of the claim is $19~574.40.
~--~ Director Harrod made ~he motion to approve the claims, seconded by
i Director Lakeman and carried unanimously. The funds expended so far
'- on this project is $257,891.92.

Ronald Long asked permission to sell chestnuts and mistletoe on the
street during the Christmas season. City Attorney Sedwick told him to
get with Police Chief Pavey and let him know their location for doing
this.
There being no further business to come before the Board of Public
Works and Safety, Director Lakeman made the motion to ad3ourn at 9:45
A,M., seconded by Deputy to the Mayor and carried unanimously.

RE: Inter City Road Project - Interlocal Portion
Dear Trish:
Please find enclosed a copy of an invoice from Jacobi, Toombs & Lanz, Inc., for work performed
on the above-referenced project. This invoice was approved by the Board of Public Works on
December 16, 1996, and was forwarded to the Jeffersonville Sewage Department for payment. Upon
receiving the approval of, the Clarksville Redevelopment Commission, please forward a check for
$7,384.50 (one-half of the invoiced amount) to Jacobi, Toombs & Lanz, Inc., and a copy of the check
to my attention at the Jeffersonville Department of Redevelopment. Please reference the Inter City
Road Project on the checks. If you should need additional information, please do not hesitate to
contact me!
