OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
MONDAY NOVEMBER 4, 1996
Mayor Thomas R. Galligan cailed the meeting to order at 9:30 A.M., and
on call of the roll those members present were: Personnel Director
Harold Lakeman, and Safety Director Anthony Harrod.
Also present were: Street Commissioner George Trembly,City Engineer
Bob Miller, Building Commissioner Bill Gavin, City Attorney Anne Marie
Sedwick, Sewage Office Manager Bob Goldman, Police Chief Mike Pavey,
Fire Chief Mike Smith, Parks Superintendent Rick Elliott, Wastewater
Treatment Plant Manager Kendall Coleman, and Clerk Lynne Kempf.

SPEED CONTROL
Street Commissioner George Trembly said he had a request to post 15
m.p.h, signs on the alley that runs between Crestview and Brighton
Avenue. Director Lakeman made the motion to approve this request,
seconded by Director Harrod, and carried unanimously.
TENTH STREET LIGHT
City Engineer Bob Miller had a request from the Pastor at Northside
Church of Christ to put a street light at his intersection where he
comes in and out. City Engineer Miller had no Problem with the
request. Director Lakeman made the motion to approve the request,
seconded by Dlrector.Harrod, and carried unanimously.
PREVAILING WAGE COMMITTEE
Under Indiana Code 5-16-7-1 et req.,for the Charlestown - N.A. Pike
Sewer Project the City is required to appoint 2 members to the
committee, with one representing industry and one being a taxpayer.
Director Lakeman made ~he motion to appoint R6h Carroll (t~xpayer),
and Joe Reschar (industry) to the Prevailing Wage Committee, seconded
by Director Harrod and carried unanimously.
SEWER ON PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE '
Director Harrod stated for the record that Street Commissioner George
Trembly will check out a sewer on Pennsylvania Avenue for Safety
reasons.
There being no further business to come before the Board Of Public
Works and Safety, DireCtor Lakeman' made the'motion to adjourn at 9:45
A.M., seconded by Director Harrod, and carried unanimously.
