JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA MONDAY, JULY 6, 1998
Mayor Galligan called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m., and on call of the roll those members
present were: City Engineer Bob Miller, and Sewage Office Manager Bob Goldman.
Also present were: Vehicle Maintenance Foreman Mike Ewton, Fire Chief Mike Smith, Street
Commissioner Bobby Ervin, Building Commissioner Larry Decker,Asst. Parks Director Donnie
Poole, Police Chief Mike Pavey, Kevin Wright of EMC, City Attorney Anne Marie Galligan,
and Clerk Lynne Kempf.
Sewage Office Manager Bob Goldman made the motion to approve the claims as presented,
seconded by City Engineer Miller and carried unanimously.
City Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the payroll as presented, seconded by Sewage
Office Manager Goldman, and carried unanimously.
JEFF FEST
Councilperson Barbara Wilson and Henry Faurest reported to the Board on plans for the Jeff
Fest, scheduled for Saturday, August 8th. A map is attached showing the locations of the various
activities in 1997. Mr. Faurest outlined plans to rearrange the activities for 1998.
CENTER STREET
Louise Dallmann, a resident on Center Street came before the Board in regards to her water
problem there. She said she has water coming within one half inch of her front door when it
rains. She would like her curb cut down to solve this problem. After some discussion and Mayor
Galligan viewing pictures Mrs. Dallmarm had brought, he said the curb would be cut down.
There being no further business to come before the Board of Public Works and Safety, City
Engineer Miller made the motion to adjourn at 10:00 a.m., seconded by Sewage Office
Manager Goldman and carried unanimously.
