HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-29-1998MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA WEDNESDAY, APRIL 29, 1998. SPECIAL MEETING Mayor Thomas R. Galligan called the meeting to order at 3:15 P.M. and on call of the roll those members present were: Planning and Development Director Jim Urban, and City Engineer Bob Miller. Also present were: City Attorney Anne Made Galligan and Clerk Lynne Kempf. BANK ONE LEASE City Attorney Galligan requested the Board's approval ora Resolution to lease a Loader for the Sewage Department from Bank One. It is a 5 year, 10 payment lease, each payment being $15,069.83. City Engineer Miller made the motion to pass the Resolution, seconded by Director Urban and carried unanimously. POLICE SERVICE CONTRACT City Attorney Galligan asked the Board to approve and authorize the City entering into a new contract with the Housing Authority to pay Jeffersonville Police officers for security work. The pay rate will be time and a half for each individual officer not to exceed $30.00 per hour. City Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the contract, seconded by Director Urban and carded unanimously. There being no further business to come before the Board of Public Works and Safety, Director Urban made the motion to adjourn at 3:35 p.m. seconded by City Engineer Miller and carried unanimously.
