JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA MONDAY, OCTOBER 4, 1999
Mayor Galligan called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m., and on call of the roll those members
present were: Sewage Office Manager Bob Goldman and City Engineer Bob Miller.
Also present were: Fire Chief Mike Smith, Building Commissioner Larry Decker, Planning and
Development Director Jana Ecker, Safety Director Grant, Officer Rodden, Vehicle Maintenance
Supervisor Ewton, Animal Control Officer Henderson, Wastewater Treatment Plant Director
Traylor, Assistant Director of Redevelopment Duggins, City Attorney Galligan, and Clerk Lynne
Mayfield.
Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the the minutes of 9-27-99 as presented, seconded
by Manager Goldman and carried unanimously.
Manager Goldman made the motion to approve the payroll as presented, seconded by Engineer
Miller and carded unanimously.
BID OPENING
A bid was received from Whayne Supply on an Asphalt Roller in the amount of $82,431.25.
Manager Goldman made the motion to take the bid under advisement for one week, seconded by
Engineer Miller and canied unanimously.
SEWER ADJUSTMENTS
Sewage Manager Goldman said that because of the drought this summer, lawns had to be
watered more so a credit will be given to residents who apply for an adjustment. A reading will
be taken on the last four months of usage and compared and adjusted to the normal rate. Engineer
Miller made the motion to approve the sewer adjustment for those who apply, seconded by
Manager Goldman and carried unanimously.
CREEKSTONE RIDGE DETENTION BASIN
Engineer Miller made the motion to table this item for one week, seconded by Manager Goldman
and carded unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board of Public Works and Safety, Engineer
Miller made the motion to adjourn at 9:50 a.m., seconded by Manager Goldman and carried
unanimously.
