OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
MARCH 4, 2002
In Mayor Galligan's absence City Engineer Miller called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and on call of
the roll those members present were: Councilperson Waiz and Parks Director Elliott sitting in for
Engineer Miller.
Also present were: Safety Director Rodden, Personnel Director Ellis, Wastewater Treatment Director
Crawford, Redevelopment Director Duggins, Administrator Rich Davis, Fire Chief Smith, Police Chief
Pavey, Building Commissioner Gavin, Animal Shelter Director Keller, Vehicle Maintenance Director
Drury, Mayor Assistant White, Street Commissioner Grant, and Deputy Clerk Lynne Mayfield
Parks Director Elliott made the motion to approve the payroll, seconded by Councilperson
Waiz and carried unanimously.
TENTH ST. AGREEMENT
Jorge Lanz of Jacobi, Toombs, and Lanz presented a supplemental engineering agreement in regard to
Tenth Street to the Board for approval. Councilperson Waiz made the motion to approve the
supplemental engineering agreement, seconded by Parks Director Elliott and carried unanimously.
HANDICAPPED PARKING
Police Chief Pavey recommended that the Board approve handicapped parking at 810 Fulton
Street for Wendell Marks. Councilperson Waiz made the motion to approve handicapped
parking at 810 Fulton Street, seconded by Parks Director Elliott and carried unanimously.
CITATION
Building Commissioner Gavin told the Board that he sent a certified notice to Christopher
and Kelly McCain for violating Ordinance No. 150.046 (fence permit) at their property
located at 3560 Peach Tree Street. The McCain's did not appear before the Board. Parks
Director Elliott made the motion to give Building Commissioner Gavin permission to fine the
McCain's at his discretion according to ordinance, seconded by Councilperson Waiz and
carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board the motion was made by Parks Director Elliott
to adjourn at 9:45 a.m., seconded by Councilperson Waiz and carried unanimously.

Please be advised that you are being cited to appear before the City Of

a.m, for violating Ordinance No; t50;046 (Fence Permit).
The City of jeffersonville BOard of:public Works and Safety meets in the Mayor's
Conference Room (Room 400) on the fourth floor of the City-County Building, 501
East Court Avenue.
In the event you have questions regarding this matter, or if the problem referenced
above is corrected before the date you are cited to appear and you desire an
inspection, please call this office at 285-6414.
Failure to appear or have an inspection confirming that corrective action has been
taken may require the City of Jeffersonville to begin legal action to correct the
problem. The City can charge up to $2,500 a day until violation is in total
compliance.
