OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
FEBRUARY 11, 2002
Mayor's Assistant Dustin White chaired the meeting in Mayor Galligan's absence and called the
meeting to order at 9:38 a.m. and on call of the roll those members present were: Councilperson Waiz
and Parks Director Elliott sitting in for City Engineer Miller.
Also present were: Wastewater Treatment Director Crawford Fire Chief Smith, Building Commissioner
Gavin, Vehicle Maintenance Director Drury, Engineering Coordinator Dixon, Wastewater Treatment
Director Crawford, and Deputy Clerk Lynne Mayfield.
Councilperson Waiz made the motion to approve the payroll as presented, seconded by Parks
Director Elliott and carried unanimously.
Parks Director Elliott made the motion to approve the minutes of February 4; 2002, seconded bY
MaYor's ASsistant Dustin White and carried unanimously.
CITATION .... :
Building Commissioner Gavin had cited Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Palmer to the Board of Public Works in
regard to trash and lawn violations at 2108 Robin Lane. The Palmer's did not show up for the meeting.
NO PARKING SIGNS
Mark VanGilder representing the Building Authority came before Ihe Board to request "No
Parking" signs at the corner of Meigs Avenue and Seventh Street in order for the dumpsters
to be emptied. He said the trash couldn't be picked up if cars are parked there. Parks Director
Elliott made the motion to approve the "No Parking" signs with enforcement by the police
department and notice given to the Sheriff to let the County employees know, seconded by
Councilperson Waiz and carried unanimously.
There being no further discussion to come before the Board the motion was made by Councilperson
Waiz to adjourn at 10:45 a.m., seconded by Parks Superintendent Elliott and carded unanimously.
