OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
JANUARY 22, 2002
Mayor Galligan called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and on call of the roll those members presenl
were: City Engineer Miller and Councilperson Waiz.
Also present were: Safety Director Rodden, Wastewater Treatment Director Crawford, Administrator
Rich Davis, Fire Chief Smith, Parks Director Elliott, Build Commissioner Gavin, Engineering
Coordinator Dixon, Street Commissioner Grant, Personnel Director Ellis, Animal Shelter Director
Keller, Vehicle Maintenance Director Drury, and Deputy Clerk Lynne Mayfield.
Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the payroll as presented, seconded by
Councilperson Waiz and carried unanimously.
Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the minutes of 11-26-01 and 1-14-02 as
presented, seconded by Councilperson Waiz and carried unmfimously.
RESIDENT PARKING
Mayor Galligan said the police department would look at the location of 945 E. Chestnut Street in regard
to resident only parking.
HORNER NOVELTY
Greg Kloss asked permission to block a portion of the alley between Spring Street and Wall Street to
hold an Open House on April 27th, 2002. Mayor Galligan told Mr. Kloss to notify the police department
of his plans. Engineer Miller made the motion to approve closure of the alley between Spring and Wall
Streets on April 26, 2002 with the Open House being held on April 27, 2002, seconded by
Councilperson Waiz and carried unanimously.
LETTER OF CREDIT RELEASE
Engineer Miller made the motion to release the letter of credit for River Woods in the amount of
$50,000.00, seconded by Councilperson Waiz and carried unanimously.
