JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA MONDAY, MARCH 6, 2000
Mayor Galligan called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m., and on call of the roll those members
present were: City Engineer Bob Miller, and Sewage Office Manager Bob Goldman.
Also present were: Building Commissioner Larry Decker, Police Chief Mike Pavey, Wastewater
Treatment Director Traylor, Vehicle Maintenance Foreman Mike Ewton, Planning and Zoning
Director Jana Ecker, Personnel Director Jerrylyn Ellis, Safety Director Rodden, Animal Share
Director Gillenwater, Animal Control Officer Henderson, City Attorney Galligan,
Redevelopment Asst. Director Duggins, Fire Chief Mike Smith, and Clerk Lynne Mayfield.
City Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the payroll as presented, seconded by Manager
Goldman and carried unanimously.
Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the claims as presented, seconded by Manager
Goldman and carried unanimously.
City Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the minutes of February 28, 2000 as presented,
seconded by Manager Goldman and carded unanimously.
HOWARD STEAMBOAT MUSEUM AND VICTORIAN CHATAQUA
Yvonne Knight announced that the festival will be held again this year on May 20 and 21st. She
asked the city to provide security and put a banner up. Manager Goldman made the motion to
approve the Street closure, put up a banner, and provide police security, seconded by Engineer
Miller and carried unanimously.
PARADE PERMIT
C.R. Lewis came before the Board for approval of a parade permit for the 2nd Run for Jesus on
March 18, 2000 at 7:30a.m. Police Chief Pavey is to work out a route with Mr. kewis and come
back to the Board for approval.
ADVERTISEMENT PLACEMENT AGREEMENT
City Attorney Galligan asked the Board to approve a 2 year contract between Creative Services
Solutions. Inc. and the City of Jeffersonville to place vinyl adhesive advertisements on tbe city
waste and recycling collection vehicles effective Apr/l 1. 2000. Creative Services Solutions will
pay $420.00 per month per truck Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the agreement
between Creative Service Solutions, Inc. and the City of Jeffesonville for placement of
advertisements on the sides of the city's waste and recycling collection vehicles for 2 years,
seconded by Manager Goldman and carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board of Public Works and Safety, Manager
made the motion to adjourn at t0:00 a.m., seconded by City Engineer Miller and carried
unanimously.
