He said Jacobi, Toombs, and Lanz approached them about a sewer easement on seven acres of property off Holman's Lane and Hammon's Lane. Research found that some 30 years ago when Mr. Ballew dedicated Hammon's Lane to the County, nothing was ever recorded so the property is still listed as being owned by Mr. Ballew. City Attorney Galligan recommended that Mr. Ballew provide a deed of dedication for the property so it can be officially entered that it has been deeded to the City and taken off Mr. Ballew's taxes. Manager Goldman made the motion to approve the deed of dedication contingent upon the City Attorney's approval, seconded by Engineer Miller and carried unanimously. On another issue, Mayor Galligan said that the culvert crossing the creek at Jesse Ballew's house is too small. It doesn't allow enough water to pass through which will mean that when the work is done on Pleasant Run the water is going to flow over the bridge. The Mayor said the ditch between Ballew's and Cooper's Lane will be cleaned out and reshaped.
